Extraction and display method of behavior characteristics of C. elegans in several environmental conditions

Abstract(in English) Caenorhabditis clegans(C.elegans)spends most of its life in feeding and moving in search of food.Pharyngeal bulb pulsation,as well as swings of its head during its search for food,feeding,and locomotion are observed.Using image analysis system,the bulb pulsation frequencies,refative correlation rating between two areas including bulb pulsation areas are investigated.The estimated frequencies are coincided with the values observed by other groups.The direction of swing of head during locomotion is quantized into 8 directions.These are vividly displayed by arrows on a dirictibn plate.
