Abstract(in English) It has been reported that a back propagation neural network(BPNN) is useful for dipole source localization(DSL)from EEG measured by 39 electrodes.The purpose of this study is to examine the usefulness of BPNN for DSL by using 16 electrodes in 10-20 system. Dividedne neural network(DNN),which consists of 6 BPNNs is used. Each BPNN consists of 4 layers and estimates one dipole paramnter. The network are trained by using learning-patterns made artificially.After training,localization accuracy for test- patterns that are different from the learning patterns is examined. As consequence localization position error and direction error in average is as small as 3.6% and 5.3゜respectively,which can be useful for clinical dipole localization. The DNN is applied to estimation of a dipole for an epileptic's spike wave.The estimated dipole corresponds to the dipole examined by a different method and the usefulness of this method is confirmed.
