Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper,we show the biological effect of static magnetic field using an adhesion of pathogenic Escherichia coli to HeLa cells. When HeLa cells and the pathogenic E.coli are mixed in Hank′ s balanced salt solution, several numbers of E.coli adhere to HeLa cells. The number of adhesive E.coll is increased by exposure of 450mT static magnetic field during mixed incubation.Growth enhancement of E.coli caused by the magnetic field exposure is not observed. Therefore,we conclude that this phenomenon is not induced by the alteration of bacterial growth with magnetic field exposure.
