Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently,3-D images of X-ray CT has been used in the practical field, and one can understand the geometrical structure and brain shapes from these information.Although the practical use of 3 dimensional reconstruction of MR is required as a next step because of its possibility on visualization of soft tissue, the difficulty of the extraction of brain shape makes it hard to realize the practical use. In this paper,we propose the automatic extraction method which is based on the Clumsy-Painter method. We introduce fractal dimension of brain shape as the parameter of complexity. As a result, underextraction and over extraction are reduced. Moreover,we carry out the automatic extraction for all slices which contain brain tissue and achieve the extraction accuracy of over 90 % as a whole.
