Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Neuronal activities in the promotor cortex(PM),supplementary motor area(SMA),and precentral motor cortex(MC)were recorded while monkeys performed a visually triggered task.Kendall′s partial corr elation coefficient analysis was applied to the data to determine whether changes in neuronal activity were dependent on visual- stimulus or movement-onset.The sampling populations for visual- stimulus related coefficients were greatest in RM,followed by SMA, then MC.Cross correlation analysis was performed on the neurons recorded with a single electrode.75% of presynaptic cells showed longer periods between onset of activity changes and the onset of the key pressing. These results indicate that to PM has temporal priority over the SMA and MC in the receipt of visual cues.(119 words)
