Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have analyzed the change of myotatic reflex responses(MRRs) during muscular fatigue by means of the instantaneous frequency pattern(IFP).In the present work,we studied a non-linear mechanism of muscle fatigue, comparing.the back ground activity and the MRR in terms of spectrum analysis. Working with the tibialis anterior muscle, nine subjects participated in our experiments. As a result, two IFP patterns were observed and they showed different relations with the mean power frequencies of the preceding back ground activity. Two different muscle fatigue types may depend on the conduction velocity and the population of muscle fibers in the muscle.
