Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A fundamental study has been conducted on the applicability of low-coherence interferometry to the functional CT imaging of biological tissues with light. First, we examined the effectiveness of the proposed technique to suppress the scattering component in the transmitted light. Then, it was shown that we could estimate the absorption coefficient of a scattering medium even in the strong scattering like in a living tissue. Finally, this technique was applied to a rat blood. Using two different wavelengths of light, we could detect the local change in the redox state of the blood.
