Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Thc conductive capillary membrane coated the surface with metal has conductivity and high trapping ability for particles, bacteria, and so on. We have studied bactericidal effect of this membrane by electric current. It has found that the membrane applied the current can effectively sterilize trapped Escherichia coli and this effect become the maximum in case of direct current so far. In this report, the bactericidal effect was studied after current value or applied time was changed. As a result, bacteria trapped in the membrane were sterilized with current more than 50 mA for 4 hours.
