Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have already shown that synchronous phenomenon occurs by an Integral Pulse Frequency Modulation (denoted IPFM) system with an Absolute Refractory Period (ARP) and that, varying synaptic weights of a Hair Cell - Primary Auditory Nerve model (HC-PAN model) according to Hebbian learning rule, there are synaptic weights to generate phase-locking (a kind of synchronous phenomenon) of output pulses of the model. An output unit (a PAN) of the model performs IPFM with ARP. In this research, by using the HC-PAN model whose synaptic weights are fixed, we investigate how IPFM with ARP works to realize phase-locking of pulses in the peripheral auditory system and we try to clear the mechanism of the occurrence of the phase-locking.
