Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have analyzed the effects of the weighting coefficients involved in the performance function that describes the optimal control of the carrier-mediated solute transport across the biological cell membrane. The transport system was comprised of free carriers and carrier-solute complexes on both sides of membrane. The optimized time courses of the concentrations of all the carrier-solute complexes were influenced by the weighting coefficients. The most strong influence was afforded by the proper weighting coefficient of a given form of the carrier-solute complexes. The optimized time courses of the control variables were depressed by their proper weighting coefficients and became an inverted parabolic pattern. The total amount of the control variables were reduced considerably.
