Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose two methods for counting the chewing number using a pressure sensor located on a head-band, or inside an earplug. The purpose of this study is to offer the valuation of chewing to children by detecting chewing information (chewing number and digestive power). To evaluate the performance of this counting system, we make some experiments. We find that this system can count the chewing number with miscount less than ±8[%] using the earplug method, and less than ±5[%] using the head-band method. We also confirm that this system can detect degestive power using the head-band method.
