Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Simulations for aortic flow curves recorded from isolated canine cardiovascular system have been performed to verify the existence of the optimal control mechanism in actual cardiovascular system. The performance function minimized involved the work of ventricle, the rate of changes in ejection pressure and aortic flow rate. To simulate aortic curves with elevated resistance and reduced aortic compliance, the weighting coefficient related to the rate of change in ventricular pressure have to be increased while for aortic flow with increase in aortic valvular resistance, the weighting coefficient must be reduced. The aortic flow under the constant stroke volume condition also have been analyzed. Present analysis is useful for evaluating the aortic flow rate under the optimal condition.
