Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recent neurophysiological studies revealed that dendrites have various voltage-gated ion channels and therefore show active properties such as action potential generation. In order to understand its functional significance, we carried out computer simulations, using a compartment neuron model. Results:(1)An inhibitory synaptic inputs call spatially modify the spike initiation and its propagation.(2)Amplitude damping phenomena of repetitively firing spikes call be reproduced by including Ca^<2+> current and Ca^<2+> dependent K.^+ current in the model.
