Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A single interneuron of the cricket cercal sensory system cannot represent stimulus direction, because the firing probability of the interneuron depends on both intensity and direction of the stimulus. The temporal coding of the stimulus direction is assumed. We examined the temporal structure on cross-correlation between the two spike trains of a pair of interneurons in response to stimuli of different directions. As a result, several pairs of interneurons showed a clear difference in the temporal correlation for the stimulus direction.
