Estimation of hot face temperature on a contact foil-thermode

Abstract(in English) We have developed a contact heat-stimulator using a film foil-thermode to measure threshold of heat pain. There are thermal resistances between the heater in the thermode and the hot face on the device, so that the temperature of the hot face is lower than that of the heater. We have examined the model of thermal resistances including capacitances to estimate the hot face temperature on the thermode. The face temperature estimated by the model agreed with experimental values measured using thermo-couple on the hot face of thermode.
