Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Motor imagery is considered to be processed by a subsystem of the motor execution system as revealed mainly by PET and fMRI. But these measuring methods do not have high temporal resolution enough to elucidate the spatio-temporal structure of the process. Furthurjore, it is still arguable whether control tasks employed by these experiments, such as movement observation and motor preparation, are proper or not. We studied spatio-temporal structure of cerevral processes during motor imagery by MEG(Magnetoencephalography) which is characterzed by high temporal resolution. We found activities in occipital lobe after 140-220msec from the oonset of visual stimulus, and in or near procentral area 300msec. It fits former knowledge about spatial information.
