Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a hierarchical ECG data representation by using multiscale peak analysis. The multiscale peak analysis is the wavelet maxima representation of which the basic wavelet functions correspond to the second derivative of a smoothing function. T the multiscale peak analysis represent turning points of ECG signals by the maxima of wavelet transforms in several scales. The decay of the wavelet maxima depend on the differentiability of detected turning points. We propose the detection algotithm for P-QRS-T waves by the decay of the wavelet maxima. Furthermore, the multiscale peak analysis has enough information to recover original signals. The ECG compression can be achieve by the multiscale peak analysis. We classify the positions and amplitude of maxima to 4 classes: (1) the position indicate peaks of R, (2) the position indicates the start and the stop position of P, T waves and peaks of Q, S waves, (3) the amplitude of maxima and (4) the remaining maxima. The ECG diagnosis is easily achieved with the primary data (1), (2) with small data amount. The original ECG data is recovered precisely with whole compressed data. The abnormal behavior of ECG will be easily search from the proposed hierarchical ECG data representation.
