Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to measure movement of objects(player or ball) at a high resolution in sports of a large field. The authors are developing a measurement system using a laser beam scanner. In this system, a vertical slit beam is scanned at 360 Hz to the targets stuck on high retro-reflective sheets, and then the return beam is detected on a linear position sensing device(PSD). Horizontal position is calculated by determining the exact time of reflection, and vertical position is determined by a position output of the PSD, both of which are performed in real time. Aspects of the measurement system are as follows ; Measurement distance : 50m Horizontal field of view : Horizontal : 77m, Vertical : 2m Resolution : Horizontal : 0.42mm, Vertical : 0.22mm
