Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we describe the concept of a millimeter-wave video transmission system, the design based on carrier-to-noise-power-ratio (CNR), haradware descriptiuon, and experimental results in the 60-GHz band. Our system can transmit multiplexing video signals such as broadcasting signals and user-oriented signals toward a television set. Based on the CNR design, we develop the system for broadcasting-satellite (BS) broadcasting transmission to analyze the feasibility of the system. Our experimental results showed that the millimeter-wave link for a 10-m distance had a sufficiently high CNR margin to enable high-quality BS transmissions.
