Design of a Bandpass Filter Using Microstrip Spiral Resonators

Abstract(in English) A compact 2nd bandpass filter is designed by using microstrip spiral resonators at 836MHz and 1.93GHz. Resonant frequency of a spiral resonator, coupling coefficient between two resonators, and external Q between a spiral resonator and the feed line are analyzed by using an electromagnetic solver-Sonnet em. Computed design charts are provided for the filter design. The simulated frequency response of the designed filter satisfies well desired specifications.
