A Design of Integrated E-plane Multi-furcation Power Dividers

Abstract(in English) This paper treats waveguide-type power dividers composed of several E-plane discontinuities such as multistep, multi-furcation, and corner on the basis of E-plane planar circuit approach and the segmentation or desegmentation method. Since these analyses require only simple matrix operation, the design technique is useful for obtaining the exact circuit property in a reasonable computation time and optimizing the circuit configuration. Several power dividers are designed at X-band, and the broadband property are obtained. Moreover, a 3-way power divider integrated with two corners is designed successfully to perform over the full X-band. The validly of this design technique is also demonstrated by electromagnetic simulator(Ansoft HFSS).
