Abstract(in English) | The NRD guide with grooves (HNRD guide) that suppresses an unnecessary propagating mode has been proposed. Since the field pattern of an LSM_<01> (-like) mode of the (H) NRD guide is analogous to that of a TE_<10> mode of a rectangular waveguide, we can simply connect the two guides with each other. In this paper, we treat two types of transitions to connect the two guides, and analyze their characteristics. The analysis is performed by finding the resonant lengths of a cavity constructed of two shorting planes at appropriate distances. The validity of this analysis is confirmed by the results of an em-simulator. |
