Measurement of surface resistance of a conductor plate using two modes in a image type dielectric resonator

Abstract(in English) For microwave mcasuremcnt of surface rcsistance R, of high-Tc supcrconductor, this paper proposes a new method using two modcs in a image type dielectric resonator. In this mcthod, R, as well as the relative permittivity εr and loss tangent tanδ of the dielcctric rod, is obtained from the measured each values of the resonant frequcncy and thcunloadedQ. The features of this method is that the temperature dcpcndcnccs of R, of only one superconductor can be obtaincd from themeasurement of one time as a function of temperature. After the principle is presented, an optimumdesign of a resonator for high-Tosuperconductor films and a sapphire rod is pcrformed. Finally,R, of a copper plate is measured at room tempeature. The measured value agrees well one by conventlonal two resonators method. As a resuIt, the validity of this method is verified.
