Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Attenuation poles are quite effectively utilized in order to improve out-of-band characteristics of a BPF, typically ones in handsets for the mobile communication system. A combline filter, which belongs to the family of distrbuted element filter, on the other hands, shows a low loss property in passband and often takes laminated structure to reduce its dimension. This article chooses a 2-stage combline filter of planar structure including laminated structure, to generally discuss the techniques for creation of attenuation poles. It is elucidated that the frequency and number of attenuation poles are roughly determined by the character of coupling, capacitive or inductive, not to mention some deviations according to coplanar, strip or microstrip. Variety of coupling schemes are analyzed to show the possibility of attenuation poles.
