An Experimental Study of Simple Wave Absorber using Conductive Paper at X-band and Ku-band

Abstract(in English) We have alredy realized many kinds of wave absorbers using thin and light resistive-film (Indium Tin Oxide (ITO)) without the use of dielectric loss material and magnetic loss material. In this paper, we will present a λ/4 type wave absorber using conductive paper at X band (8GHz to 12GHz) and Ku band (12GHz to 18GHz). As compared with to an ITO film, the present absorber has high performances of cost and handiness. As a result, usefulness of the wave absorber using resistive films is confirmed by our examination. We obtain an absorption level over 20dB in our expection. The design data of the present wave absorber for practical use is also produced.
