Analysis and Measurement of Leaky Wave from Dielectric Rod Waveguide with Periodic Structure

Abstract(in English) Radiation characteristics of HE_11>-type wave in the periodic rod waveguide is studied theoretically and experimentally.Based on the analysis results,a periodic rod antenna is designed and fabricated.The directivity of the fabricated antenna agrees well with the calculated values.When a linearly polarized wave is exited in the waveguide antenna,the conical beam radiated froin the antenna is polarized linearly.When a circularly polarized wave is excited,the conical beam is polarized circularly.
