Abstract(in English) | Recently,high gain and high efficiency planar antennas are strongly required for DBS receiving and entrance radio links in mobile communications.Waveguide slot array antennas satisfying these requests have been developed and used as commercial products. This paper describes the remarkable efficiency of a radial line slot antenna (RLSA) of more than 85% as well as its basic and the latest advanced designs are reported.Then,slotted waveguide arrays for wider applications are summarized.It includes (1)Leaky wave slotted wavequide arrays with 50゜ tilted beam for mobile DBS reception and (2)20GHz band flat antennas for entrance radio links in mobile communication.The unique concepts as well as promising characteristics are presented. |
