Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Future cellular communication systems will be called upon to provide multimedia services (Voice, data, and video)to a variety of user platforms (pedestrians, cars, andtrains), which have a variety of mobility characteristics. To meet such a demand, knowledge of the mobile teletraffic characteristics is important for planning, designing and operating the networks. This paper presents the mobillty characteristics of selective vehicles based on measurements using Global Positioning System (GPS). These mobility characteristics are then used for evaluating teletraffic statistics, such as dwell time and cell crossover rate.
