Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the CDMA cellular systems with soft handoff, more link resources are needed than in those with hard handoff, since multi-connection has to be established from a switch to base stations to multicast the information during the handoff pcrod. This report evaluates three methods for establishing the multi-conncction:rcal time processing, qucuing processing, and modified queuing processing giving a priority to high-speed mobillty terminals. Forced termi nation probabilities P_and other teletraffic propertics, are calculatcd by computer simulation. The recsults show that the queuing processing reduces P_ and that the modified queuing processing can further reduce P_.
