Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Collisions of packets limit throughput performance in the slotted ALOHA radio packet communication systems. We employ following three strategies:(i)a system which controls the packet transmission power randomly within the allowable variable range for the mobile terminals, and enhance the capture effect, (ii)a system which measures the pilot signal power from the surrounding base stations and transmit the packet with the minimum transmitting power, and(iii)their combined system. Computer simulation evaluates the throughput and delay time performance. It is shown that the combined system improves the throughput by 25% from the conventional slotted ALOHA.
