Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes maximum likelihood symbol candidate estimator using the metrics of the past received signals for decision, which is referred to as Past Metric Addition Maximum Likelihood Symbol-Candidate Estimator (PMA-MLSCE), realizing excellent compensation capability against multipath distortion with less complexity. This signal estimation method is based on a structure introducing symbol candidates and decision feed back data for precursor and postcursor estimation, respectively, and can realize a symbol decisionin which the past sequence is restricted by introducing the criterion based on the addition of the metrics over the past received signals. As the result of computer simulation, it shows that this method can suppress the PER perrormances within 1dB of Eb/No, compared to those of DDFSE with reduction of received signal estimationo peration of more than 50% in maximum.
