CAD System for GaAs MMIC : Design environment to support layout editing

Abstract(in English) A CAD system to suport GaAs MMIC design based on layout has been developed. In this system, newly developed simplified layout has ken utilized instead of conventional mask layout. The simplified layout does not have complicated data which include process oriented design rules. Therefore the layout is very simple and understandable by the designer who has no knowledge of the GaAs MMIC process. Moreover, partial back annotation function has been developed to support layout editing, then the designer can easily optimize the circuit which include many parasitic. A design example on C-Band MMIC is also demonstrated to characterize the features of the system .
