Study on Dielectric Filter with Low Bending Radiation Loss

Abstract(in English) A dielectric waveguide is well known as a waveguide with low loss characteristic in the millimeter-optical-frequency range. However, a radiation loss caused by the bending is high. Therefore, a ring type filter using circular resonator can't ignore the bending radiation loss. This paper describes the effect of low radiation loss using metal plate and enlargement of the ring resonator radius. These results verifies the effectiveness to decrease bending radiation loss.
