Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes the optical control of active antennas which have circular microstrip patches integrated with FET oscillators. When two oscillators are coupled by a free-space and injection-locked, one FET of the two is illuminated with a laser to change the oscillation condition. This yields the phase difference of their oscillations, then the synthesized radiation pattern is modified. The dependence of the radiation characteristics on the illuminating power is given for a single element and two synchronized elements. For the latter case the radiation pattern is optically controlled, and the null direction is scanned more than 20 degrees by the laser power of up to 19 mW.
