| 抄録(和) | ユーザ数の急激な増加を見せている移動通信においては,パーソナル化,マルチメディア化,グローバル化に対する要求が非常に大きい.このような移動通信需要に対処するのに光と電波の融合通信技術の果たす役割は大きく,電波を光ファイバ内に閉じこめて伝送する光マイクロセル無線通信方式が検討されている.本報告では,無線通信と光通信の境界領域にある光電波融合通信方式の動向について概観すると共に,仮想無線空間ネットワークの概念について述べ,具体的構成例として光CDMAを用いた無線ハイウェイの提案を行う. |
| 抄録(英) | Exploitation of air interfaces in mobile communications is rapidly increasing because of diversified service demands, technology trends and radio propagation conditions. The optic-and-radio interaction techniques (microwave photonics and millimeter wave photonics) can solve the future problems resulting from spreading demands in mobile multi-media communications. This paper summarizes the trend of the optic-and-radio interaction communication systems, and furthermore describes the concept of the Virtual Radio Free Space Network (Radio Highway Network), which provides a universal mobile access network for airy mobile service or radio air-interface. As an example of the proposed network, the optical CDMA type radio highway network is proposed and some results of theoretical performance analysis are shown. |
