Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Electronic bulletin board systems (BBS) are expected to be very useful tools for information sharing among people since they accept information described by natural language. However, it is not so easy to build information sharing environment on BBS since BBS is designed as general purpose tool to exchange information and does not have specific functions to support information sharing. In this paper, we analyze the logical characteristics of information in information sharing systems, and propose a new categorization criteria of shared information. We also analyze the lifecycle of shared information and show several requirements to design and operate efficient information sharing environment.
