| Abstract(in English) | Embedded microprocessors are key devices for electric appliances; cellular phones, PDAs, game consoles, digital cameras and so on. This paper outlines the function and performance trends of embedded microprocessors, and the potential of system LSIs consisting of a microprocessor core and user circuits. Furthermore, this paper describes the difficulties of designing high-speed and/or low-power microprocessors and system LSIs. |
