Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Power-efficient design of real-time embedded systems becomes more important as system functionality is increasingly realized by software. This paper presents a cooperative power-optimization scheme among an operation system, application programs and hardware. This scheme is shown to reduce the power to less than 1/4 compared to the conventional rate-monotonic scheduling with fixed supply voltage. The power saving is achieved without degrading the real-time features.
