Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A CMOS image sensor with capabilities of video rate range sensing, motion detection, and digital image output has been developed. lit has 192x124 pixels, and each pixel consists of 4 current copier cells as frame memories and a chopper comparator for signal processing. The sensor focuses on a temporal response of illumination during exposure at 48kfps maximum frame rate. The depth resolution of 500um is achieved at 24kfps range sensing operation, and 12b maximum AD conversion resolution is realized at 48kfps digital imaging operation. This sensor is fabricated with 0.35μm standard CMOS technology.
