Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A conventional logical synthesis estimates the wire capacitance by the chip size and the number of fan-outs. It often affects the development period and the quality of products because of the difference between the estimated capacitance and the actual wire capacitance. A physical synthesis can improve the estimation accuracy by performing the logical circuit optimization and the cell placement at the same time. This report discusses the advantage of the physical synthesis over the conventional methods, and introduces an application to a product.
