Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A 1.9GHz direct conversion RF module has been developed. This RF module is composed of an RF amplifier block and a mixer block. The proposed RF amplifier block is composed of a variable gain amplifier and a low noise amplifier, and has a low distortion characteristic when gain is controlled. The proposed mixer block is miniaturized by novel dividers. The divider has certain filter characteristics though the stub is not used. Therefore the proposed RF module has achieved a wide dynamic range and miniaturization. The developed RF amplifier block achieves thirdorder intermodulation of less than -30dBm below a -10dBm input signal at 1.9GHz. The amplitude error and the phase error of the developed RF module are less than 0.4dB and less than 0.3degree below a -5dBm input signal at 1.9 GHz when gain is controlled.
