Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper reports a pixel circuit of a vision chip based on a pulse frequency modulation technique, which is a kind of merged analog and digital techniques. A test chip has been fabricated using a CMOS 0.35μm rule to have a pulse frequency modulation circuits and a photodiode with 2μm square size in a pixel. The chip has been demonstrated that it works under the operation voltage of 0.6V with the dynamic range of over 50dB.
