Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recent advances in CMOS image sensor technology allow us to realize high-integration imaging devices or one-chip cameras. The information acquired by executing Fourier transform of images is very useful for many applications such as fingerprint identification, face identification, and various machine vision applications. However, two-dimensional Fourier transform requires tremendous computational power. In this paper, we propose a near focal-plane Fourier transform processor using bit-serial column parallel processing architecture for the high-speed calculation. In the case of 256×256-point DFT, processing time is estimated to be 0.99[ms]at clock frequency of 100MHz.
