Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A highly-sensitive simple infrared imager using pyroelectric type detectors is proposed. A pyroelectric detector has the highest sensitivity in the thermal type detectors. However conventional pyroelectric type infrared image sensors need light chopping system. Therefore it is difficult to develop simple and small infrared light camera using pyroelectric devices. In this paper, we propose a chopperless highly-sensitive pyroelectric type infrared image sensor using a new sensing scheme. In the scheme, the image sensor chip is vibrated in one direction and time difrential and spatial integration functions are integrated on the image sensor chip.
