Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to implement a low power motion vector estimator we propose a CMOS image sensor with non-destructive readout cheme which captures high-speed intermediate pictures and fully accumulated pictures and an interative block matching which estimates motion vector of video rate pictures using intermediate pictures with high accuracy and a reduced computational cost. This paper reports the prototyping results of the proposed sensor with the ability to cancel the fixed pattern noise in the intermediate images and new results of iterative block matching. The normal operation of the proposed sensor is comfirmed and the iterative block matching is confirmed to estimate motion vectors sufficient resolution.
