Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The digital vision chips, which contain a PE for each pixel on the focal plane, often use bit-serial processing to save circuit area. In this paper, we propose a bit-serial AD conversion method which converts PD's analog voltage and which saves circuit area in some special-purpose vision chips. Using our method, no large error can be generated. And circuit area will be saved because we need only one global counter for all PEs and do not need temporary memory in every PE to save converted value.
