Abstract(in English) This paper introduces the outline of Wideband CDMA (W-CDMA) radio transmission technology for third generation mobile communication system. Firstly general CDMA features are described, and the merits of wideband system are presented.. Next the key features of W-CDMA technology (such as variable band width, intercell asynchronous operation, spreading code, pilot assisted coherent detection and packet data transmission) are outlined.
