Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A low-voltage 2GHz Si-bipolar direct-conversion quadrature modulator with a wide bandwidth is described. It features a "curren t-folded" double-balanced mixer operating at the low supply- voltage of 2V,and a tunable RC, CR 90℃ phase shifter that reduces the amplitude and phase imbalance over a wide bandwidth(0.8 to 2GHz).The modulator implemented using 18GHz Si-bipolar technology dissipates only 68mW at 2V.The image ratio at 2GHz is about -37dBc corresponding to a phase error of 1.6°Moreover,both second order and third order products, and local leakage are less thah -4OdBc.
