| Abstract(in English) | An MPEG2 video decoder LSI that decoders MPEG2 bitstreams of Main Profile and Main Level has been developed using 0.5μm CMOS an d triple-level metal technology.It consists of approximately 1.1 million transistors on a 15mm × 15mm die.An MPEG2 decoding system for CCIR601 signal can be built with only four 4M-bit DRAMs used as a rate buffer,reference pictures and display buffers.The LSI also coves HDTV decoding by a single when clocked at 7OMHz. |
