| Abstract(in English) | We have developed a single chip audio and video decoder LSI using The Media Core Processor(MCP)architecture which is suitable for multimedia signal processing and features programability and multiprocessor configuration. This is the first product of the MCP architecture adopted for consumer electronic field. Using this architecture, the decoder has realized not only real time decoding of MPEG2 video, MPEG audio, Dolby-Digtal and Linear PCM, but also the integration of peripheral functions required for the DVD player, in a single chip using 0.35μm CMOS technology. |
